Bicycles are now back in trend amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Restrictions on transportation modes and limited number of activities have made bicycles a widely chosen means of sport as well as to support daily activities. Seeing this phenomenon, Bank Sampoerna Palembang Branch took the initiative to form a bicycle community for its employees.
“We hope that with this cycling activity, all the limitations during the pandemic will not fade the spirit of togetherness,” said Ranggalawe, Bank Sampoerna’s Palembang Branch Manager.
Apart from hobby, traffic jams, the environment and worsening air pollution, health is the reason that more and more people end up cycling every day. Riding a bicycles is hhealthier and safer, so they can do their job well. In addition, by cycling we may break the chain of the spread of Covid-19 by not cramming into public transportation.
Hopefully this activity can be an example for other agencies to choose to use a bicycle instead of taking public transportation.
