Pak Agus’ success story begins with his late father-in-law who first opened an exhaust repair shop. After studying for 1-2 years from the exhaust workshop owned by his late father-in-law, Mr. Agus ventured to open his own exhaust workshop. Precisely in 2004, Mr. Agus managed his own exhaust workshop.
The pick-up system has also been carried out by Mr. Agus to increase the sales turnover of his exhaust. This means that Mr. Agus opened a street exhaust workshop in another area. However, what was gained from this ball pick-up system did not last long. The trust that Pak Agus gave to his employees to run this system was not used properly.
The success of his business, Mr. Agus, who has been blessed with 3 children, cannot be separated from the support from Bank Sampoerna through KSP Sahabat Mitra Sejati Jombang branch. Since becoming a member in 2014 Pak Agus has received support from Bank Sampoerna. The first time he received a working capital loan, it was intended to build a house and expand the exhaust repair shop, because at that time Pak Agus was intensively implementing a pick-up system that required capital to purchase exhaust.
“My business certainly cannot develop without support from customers or outside parties. It is not wrong if I became a member of KSP Sahabat Mitra Sejati since 2014 which is fully supported by Bank Sampoerna. Bank Sampoerna has given me a lot for my business”.
Mrs. Sumiati went out of her comfort zone to decide her own life. Joining and following in the footsteps of her parents who are entrepreneurs and selling from market to market, Mrs. Sumiati wants to find a new independent business as soon as possible.

Unexpectedly, from the beginning only 500 heads, which gradually increased to 1,000 and 2,000 tails, in just a matter of months they produced very many eggs. “Not unexpectedly, the process of increasing working capital was immediately approved by Bank Sahabat Sampoerna. Immediately I buy the chicken “polet” or ready to lay eggs. Alhamdulillah, my eggs were able to keep up with the price of eggs which was soaring at that time, ”continued Mrs. Sum excitedly.
“Thank you to Bank Sahabat Sampoerna, which has helped us to move forward, for making us comfortable and always making it easier whenever there are difficulties,” said Mrs. Sum. ***
As a farmer’s son, initially Mr. Nasirudin did not think about becoming an optometrist. The intention came when he worked in a leading optical franchise network for 10 years, since 2004. While working there, Mr. Nasirudin had the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of world optometry by himself. The more he studied, the more capable he felt of owning his own optics.
In 2016 the demand for glasses at Optik Gelora was increasing, this made Nasirudin overwhelmed by receiving orders. He thought of opening a branch. At that time he also had a degree, so he was more courageous to open branches.
Mr. Nasirudin received financing from Bank Sahabat Sampoerna. All the money he used to open a branch of Optik Gelora. Currently, Mr. Nasirudin’s optical business is growing. He already has 11 employees in both branches of his optical shop. The number of patients reached 350-400 people per month.
Mr. Bahar, who previously worked as a marketing employee at a pharmaceutical company for 5 years, was determined to become a baker. This business was started from the complaints of stalls owners around his house, who required different taste of bread.
Based on this, Mr. Bahar swerved to try making a bakery that offers different taste from others. Precisely in November 2011, even though he had not mastered how to make bread, Mr. Bahar did not lose his determination to be independent. He invited a friend who worked in a bakery to build a bakery business pioneered by Mr. Bahar with a sharing system.
“In the past, when I started this business, I used a manual machine to make bread. Over the years, I have had more orders than usual. I have to work hard to meet customers’ demands. If I continue this method, there was a concern that customers will switch to another factory because the orders would be delayed“ said Mr. Bahar.
It was the incident that made Mr. Bahar decided to buy more modern tools. However, because the machine’s price was not cheap and the capital to buy this tool was not possible, Mr. Bahar decided to seek working capital loans from financial institutions. In 2017, Mr. Bahar received a working capital loan from Bank Sahabat Sampoerna. His desire to have more sophisticated tools finally materialized.
Initially, Mr. Busri was only a retail seller and only one type of banana was sold, now Mr. Busri’s business has grown very rapidly. Even today, Pak Busri’s business has been said to be a banana agent in his hometown, Samarinda. The success of an enterprise is none other than the support from good relationships with everyone. Without it, any business that is carried out will be difficult to develop. Good relations with the community, even with friends, are a major factor in the success of running this business.
For example, several large hospitals in Samarinda City have been explored by Pak Busri. As a result, Pak Busri’s bananas have become a regular subscription to several hospitals for the consumption of his patients.
Mr. Busri often encountered joys and sorrows while running this business. Starting from being lied to by buyers, to receiving rotten bananas from their orders. The rainy season is often an obstacle for Pak Busri, given the distance between the banana farmers and Pak Busri’s location, they have to pass through the forest. The road to the farmer’s place is not paved so it is impassable when it rains. His desire to own a truck was finally fulfilled. In 2014, Pak Busri received a loan from Bank Sampoerna. This opportunity was not wasted by Pak Busri, for the sake of the smooth running of his business. The truck is more useful when ordering bananas to the Kaliurang area when it rains. “Hopefully Bank Sampoerna will still be willing to help us, especially small entrepreneurs like me,” said Pak Busri closing the conversation.
Mr. Sarto, a successful entrepreneur, opened a home industry for presto milkfish, and bandeng pepes, which he has been doing since 2017. The large number of industrial estates in the Tangerang area has inspired Pak Sarto to open presto milkfish. Employee canteens of factories in Tangerang have become easy targets for Pak Sarto to market his milkfish. “Most of the industries here are factories. All employees must eat in the factory canteen. So, from here I then thought, to offer presto milkfish to the canteen, “said Pak Sarto at the start of the conversation.
In 2017 Pak Sarto got to know Bank Sahabat Sampoerna, this meeting was fruitful. Without much further consideration, Pak Sarto take out a working capital loan. Businesses that have prospects in the future, become a separate consideration for Bank Sahabat Sampoerna, to provide working capital loans. “The need for such a vehicle must exist, in order to maintain the quality of milkfish. The congestion of the road as it is today, causing them to arrive at their destination for hours. Milkfish that has come out of the cooling machine cannot last long, it must be cooked immediately or placed back into the cooler. Fortunately, Bank Sahabat Sampoerna provided a way to own this vehicle, ”said Pak Sarto brightly.

The current warehouse is much bigger than the original oneit was originally. Just imagine if every order of glass order from the distributor is had 1 container, which contains 18 chests, each containing 300 pieces of glass, then more than 5,000 pieces of glass will would be placed in the warehouse. Fortunately, the funds obtained from Bank Sampoerna can also buy a unit of forklift which is used to unload the crates from the container to the warehouses. “Hopefully Bank Sampoerna can still help us, these small businessmenentrepreneurs,” said Bu Nurlena as she closed the conversation.
There is a saying that the best couple are a pair of shoes, they don’t have the same shape, but they are a match. They don’t move simultaneously, but they are going to the same direction. They never switch position, but they fill each other. If one’s missing the others won’t have a purpose. That philosophy is the reason why Mr. Haji Sultan Manaba shifted his business, from selling clothes to selling shoes. “It was started in 1986.” “Pak Haji”, Mr. Sultan Manaba’s nickname, told about him and his wife’s story when they started a shoe selling business in a market in Kolaka, Makassar.
Their clothes stall was burned out. This unforgettable misfortune created a new chapter for Pak Haji’s success in running his shoe business. “We had a misfortune. Our clothes stall was burned out. After the event, I thought of starting a new business and fortunately I had a lot of friend who already started shoes wholesale business. I was suggested to sell their shoes. Then, thanks to their suggestions and support, I tried to sell shoes,” said Pak Haji.
Pak Haji and Mrs. Mulyani are now reaping their harvests in their old days. This couple now has 11 grandchildren from four of their children. One of their children have deceased and the remaining 3 children will continue their parent’s business. “If God allows, my children are ready to continue the business. Hopefully Bank Sampoerna is still willing to help small businesses in this city,” said Pak Haji ending the conversation.
Clothes are human’s basic needs. From day to day, the market demand for clothes is getting higher and higher. This fact creates a big opportunity on clothing convection and clothing business and makes it as one of the businesses that is interested by entrepreuner.
This opportunity was grabbed by Mrs. Sukma who was born in Bantaeng, Makassar.
Since she was on high school, Mrs. Sukma already learned how to sell clothes with her brother. She hasn’t got the ability to create her own products, Mrs. Sukma then learned from her brother who had opened a clothing convection. At that time, she started to understand how to create patterns in clothes and then sewing it up to be sold.
After 2 years journey in clothing industry, Mrs. Sukma tried to expand her business by starting a clothing convection. Years after years, Mrs. Sukma’s clothing stalls and convection are growing. The revenue is used by Mrs. Sukma to employ 6 manpowers and buy 3 sewing machines for the convection. Unsatisfied with the current 6 stalls, Mrs. Sukma wishes to open a new stall at that time. Afterwards, Mrs. Sukma applied for a business loan to financial services.
“I really needed an addition of working capital. Moreover, I also want to buy a new house as an investment for my children. My income is enough if I save it as a retirement saving,” she said passionately.
Mr. Ahmad’s success story is not as smooth and easy as one might imagine. Before reaching a daily turnover of tens of millions, Mr. Ahmad experienced ups and downs in pioneering his business. The move of his house from Palingkau to Kuala Kapuas to approach the market was one of the toughest decisions Mr. Ahmad has ever taken. Once there have also been complaints from his neighbors because they feel disturbed by the smell of the chicken he sells.
This story begins with Mr. Ahmad’s experience in raising tens to hundreds of chickens. Up to hundreds of chickens he raised were infected by a lethal disease, thus they can not be sold. Upon this incident, Mr. Ahmad changed course. Currently Mr. Ahmad no longer raises chicken, but he buys ready-to-cut broilers instead. Mr. Ahmad started to build a broiler business with only a few chickens. Starting from 10 chickens per day, now his business reaches 1,000 chickens per day.
The success in selling broiler made Mr. Ahmad eager to look for a new business to supplement his income. By that time his daily turnover reaches 2,000 – 3,000 chickens. It makes Mr. Ahmad claims to be the largest broiler trader in Kuala Kapuas. Mr. Ahmad tries another opportunity through fish. He utilized a land located 9 km from his house to be made into fish ponds. As the result, as many as 70-80 thousand catfish seedlings are successfully been harvested every 6 months.
Not satisfied with the two businesses he runs, there arose desire to invest in assets with buy another land and build shop houses has come true.
Tidak puas dengan kedua usaha yang dilakoni Pak Ahmad, timbullah keinginan untuk berinvestasi asset dengan membeli tanah dan membangun ruko terwujud sudah.
Mr. Ahmad’s venture in running several business fields has completed. With this new shop house, Mr. Ahmad tries to build a home industry of cakes and bread, which is currently managed by his first child.
