On 9th September 2020, Bank Sampoerna celebrated its 29th anniversary. The celebration feels different from previous years, because it was held by following health protocols to reduce crowds. At the head office, the celebration was attended limitedly by the board of management, the board of commissioners represented by Mr. Budi Halim and Mr. Hary Santoso, shareholders Mr. Michael J. Sampoerna, and Mr. Bambang Sulistyo and Mr. Hendra Prasetya as the supervisory board of the Bank’sstrategic partner, KSP Sahabat Mitra Sejati. Connected virtually, the celebration of Bank Sampoerna’s anniversarywas also attended by Mr. Ekadharmajanto Kasih as a shareholder and Mr. Adiwarman Karim as the commissioner who also led the prayer reading. Not only that, almost all employees also watched together this celebration via zoom at the head office and branch offices. The celebration was also attended by employees working from home through zooming from their respective homes.
On this anniversary celebration, Bank Sampoerna also gave appreciation to its employees who performed well. Bank Sampoerna appreciates employees by providing educational scholarships for their children who excel for the 2020-2021 school year. Bank Sampoerna continues to strive to provide welfare and happiness to employees in any condition, because this greatly determines the running of the company well.
This birthday celebration is used as a reminder and gratitude in the midst of this challenging world condition, and we pray that in the midst of the pandemic that occurs, Bank Sampoerna will continue to provide the best service to its customers and be able to support the economic pace in Indonesia.
As part of its commitment to promoting financial literacy from an early age, Bank Sahabat Sampoerna (BSS) hosted its "Adventure at Bank Sahabat Sampoerna" program on Thursday (June 25) in Jakarta. The program welcomed 46 students from Grade 4 of elementary school to Grade 9 of junior high school and was officially opened by BSS Director of Information Technology, Hendra Rahardja.
In the spirit of Eid al-Adha and as part of its commitment to supporting the surrounding community, Bank Sahabat Sampoerna donated one sacrificial cow to Sampoerna Land for distribution to residents in need around the Sampoerna Strategic Square area.
During the holy month of Ramadan, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, Bank Sahabat Sampoerna, in collaboration with KSP Sahabat Mitra Sejati, organized an iftar (breaking of the fast) gathering with the children of Yayasan Al Kahfi in Central Jakarta. The event was held as part of the institutions’ commitment to sharing joy and togetherness with the children during the blessed month of Ramadan.
On December 16, 2025, in celebration of Christmas, Bank Sampoerna held a social activity at Desa Putera Orphanage as a form of care and an effort to share happiness with the children.
To increase social awareness toward the surrounding community during Eid al-Adha, Bank Sahabat Sampoerna donated one cow to Sampoerna Land to be distributed to those in need around the Sampoerna Strategic Square building.
